As an Accounting Specialist at mute-labs.com, you will be responsible for…

1. Accounting & Compliance

• Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions following HGB and tax regulations.

• Maintain an up-to-date accounting system to facilitate smooth monthly closings and external reporting.

• Support governance adherence and help implement improvements in financial controls.

2. Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable

• Oversee customer invoicing and follow up on outstanding payments.

• Ensure that all supplier invoices are correctly processed and paid on time.

• Perform bank reconciliations and ensure that every cash transaction is properly documented.

3. Process Optimization & System Integration

• Contribute to the automation and digitization of accounting processes, leveraging AI-driven tools for efficiency gains.

• Ensure smooth operation and integration of our accounting systems: DATEV Unternehmen Online, LucaNet, Candis, and Agicap.

• Work closely with the entire mute-labs team to adapt systems and processes to evolving business needs.

This is what you bring

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• 3+ years of professional accounting experience, ideally in a small or growing company.

• Proficiency in accounting tools such as DATEV Unternehmen Online, LucaNet, Candis, and Agicap (or equivalents thereof).

• Working knowledge of HGB and VAT regulations.

• Experience in working with external accounting & taxation providers.

• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Odoo) is a plus.

• Working knowledge of German is a plus but no must.
